450 billion dollars a year is spent on Christmas in the US alone…just 10 billion dollars could solve the world-wide contaminated drinking problem. 2% of what is spent on Christmas…what a shame.
James said that “faith without works is dead…“ He was not saying that works save us, he was making the point that if we are truly followers of Christ we should be able to point to evidence of that in our lives. The Bible calls it “fruit”.
James 2:14-16
“What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone? 15 Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, 16 and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do?”
I have reached the point where I am tired of “praying” for change, I am ready to be an active part of it. I see the stories about contamintaed drinking water and I feel pity on the people, my pity has moved into compassion-love in action. I invite you to consider being a part of solving this world-wide problem.
