Starbucks absolutely fascinates me, they always seem to say the “right” things. As you probably already know they are doing a series called “The Way I See It”, and it has quotes from different people. This morning I was drinking a pumpkin spice latte (awesome by the way), and I noticed #291, here’s what it says: “In a world where celebrity equals talent, and where make believe is called reality, it is most important to have real love, truth, and stability in your life.” Stop, go back, read it again, and let it soak in.
In your life what does real love look like? How about real truth? What about stability?

Starbucks rules the world, dude. But my weakness is caramel apple cider.
As far as stability goes, I used to only feel secure in my life when everything was going exactly according to plan. But I guess as time has gone on and Ive realized just how brutal my long range plans really were, Ive come to feel secure and stable just knowing that Im where Im supposed to be. Otherwise, I would be freaking out on this rollercoaster right now.
Good stuff Aaron, thanks for sharing. What about real love?
I agree with Aaron. Sometimes I get too far ahead of myself and forget to enjoy the moment I’m in right now. (Ironically, I’ve got a nice cup of Dunks coffee sitting on my desk. You bet I’m going to enjoy every bit of it.)
When it comes to the love part, Liz and I experienced real love when we got a call from our adoption agency telling us that a birth mom “has chosen us.” What a feeling that was! I expect we’ll feel it again when we look at our baby girl for the first time! Real love for us at this time looks and feels wonderful.
